Through the alchemy of mixed media (textile, paper, pigment, paint and found ephemera), manipulated by conscious and subconscious actions of application and erosion (scoring, scrubbing, scratching and erasing) irreducible forms emerge.
Joanna Bailey was born in Poland, and graduated from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. Since leaving Poland, Joanna has lived and worked as an artist in London. Her continued exploration of media and her technique of expression have resulted in significant representation and exhibitions in Europe and the USA and have attracted devoted collectors, both private and corporate.
